The election commission of india introduces a new name for this year as an Voter enrollment year and will now introduces a new card known as Election Photo Identity Cards (EPIC ) like the smart cards which will have color photographs of the voters from this year.
This can apply through online only, as per their orders these new cards must have to apply within one month through the websites given below and the existing card holders can also able to apply with their Passport Photo which is replaced by the color photographs.
Now a days our election commission is using technology to locate a the polling centers which can also see through google maps and the people can see their closest voting poll nearer to them in google maps also. Over 10 lakhs polling stations are ready in over india and in Andhra about 67,000 polling centers can be viewed in maps.
The people who want to apply for the fresh voter enrollment could able to apply through form-6 and the acknowledgement can be send by either e.mail or by the sms which is given at the time of the address.
